Come out to Pile of Craft this Saturday and enter for your chance to win a basket full of awesome goodies from vendors at the show. Two of my hand printed tea towels will be included. All proceeds from the raffle go to support the Baltimore Clayworks, a non-profit ceramic arts center.
The View-Master was originally invented to take the place of postcards by showcasing scenic landscapes across America. Before its profitable relationship with Disney formed in 50's, it was used by the U.S. Military during World War II to help train soldiers to identify ships and airplanes (wiki). Today, I'm using it to watch the Brady Bunch. : )

Young Blood Gallery and Boutique is the foremost independent showcase in Atlanta for emerging artists and Do-It-Yourself crafters (youngbloodgallery.com). Owners Maggie White and Kelly Teasley started the biz in '97 when they got tired of the lack of opportunity for emerging artists in Atlanta and began putting on art shows in their own house. It has since then expanded into a hugely successful business, giving emerging artists and crafters a platform to showcase their work. YB has been featured in Juxtapoz, The Washington Post, ReadyMade, and the film documentary Handmade Nation. If you are in or around the Atlanta area, check out their calendar for upcoming shows and events.
